San Francisco (1:1250) - Printed at Autodesk's pier 9 facility on a Stratasys Connex 500. Steelblue, who was then employing me as an independent contractor, supplied a 3ds max model of SF to expedite the production of a 3D printable model. Design entailed remodeling everything from scratch, and modifying details with minimum print resolution and estimated part durability in mind. Many areas of the city were created without a base model reference and solely from interpreting google maps, a strategy we would later use to model Manhattan, Boston, Houston and other projects. The print got some news coverage, including CBS and CGArchitect among others.

My time at Steelblue as producer and manager of 3d print operations in a photo album.

Steelblue was tasked by Tishman Speyer to create a 3D printed model of Hudson Yards to display future developments in the region. The model was made from scratch in Sketchup. Printed at 1:1250 scale in verowhite, a polyjet material used by Steelblue's Objet30pro.
